Invest Atlanta OKs Bonds, Incentives for Major Projects
Invest Atlanta approved a $55 million revenue bond for Legacy Ventures' planned 21-story Homewood Suites and Canopy Hilton combo hotel. Invest Atlanta also approved $325,000 for the renovation of Georgia Pacific's headquarters.

Bulloch Co, GDED Approve Incentives for WL Plastics
The Development Authority of Bulloch County and the Dept. of Economic Development have provided WL Plastics with a grant of land, a waiver of county permit fees, and state tax credits of $4,000 per job created, in exchange for a $12 million capital investment.

Future of Doraville, GA Redevelopment in Question
A proposal to redevelop the abandoned Doraville General Motors site through a tax allocation district has been rejected by local school leaders. Developers claim that without the TAD, they'll be forced to downsize the project.

Emory Launches $1.5M RLF
Emory has announced plans to launch a new $1.5 million Sustainability Revolving Fund that will be used to fund capital-intensive energy and water efficiency projects across campus.

Georgia Angel Investment Tax Credit
Georgia's angel tax credit program provides early investors in certain start-ups and new businesses a credit against their Georgia State income tax. The maximum credit to be allowed for all investments made in 2016, 2017, and 2018 is $5 million.

Rome, GA DDA Launches Banking on Downtown Loan Program
The City of Rome has launched a low-interest revolving loan pool to make second mortgage loan funds available for development projects within the Downtown Development Authority's service area.
