Cincy Port Authority Issues Impact Investment Debt to Fund Industrial Site Revitalization The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority announced it has raised $7.0 million from social impact investment to fund the acquisition of underutilized urban industrial sites it will reposition for advanced manufacturing. Columbus' SID Used to Fund Energy Improvements The City of Columbus, Ohio, has enacted a new energy-friendly funding tool that's already been harnessed by one local property owner, marking a green overhaul that financing platform proponents say is the start of a regional trend. Statewide Investments to Create $30M in New Payroll Today Governor John R. Kasich announced the approval of assistance for seven projects set to create 675 new jobs and retain 1,186 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. DFA of Summit County Receives Auditor of State Award A recent financial audit of Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) by the Auditor of State's office has returned a clean audit report for 2014 and 2015. DFA's excellent record keeping has earned it the Auditor of State Award for 2014 and 2015. Columbus Offering Up its High-Grade GOs Columbus, Ohio entered the market with $481 million of high-grade paper to fund capital projects as it prepares to go to voters this November for new bonding authority to keep pace with capital needs. Umbaugh is advising city auditor's office on the transaction and Bricker & Eckler LLP is bond counsel. Port Authority Closes Purchase of Cincinnati Gardens The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority closed on the 19-acre site of the Cincinnati Gardens on Friday morning. Ohio Valley Resource Conservation & Development Closes On June 30, 2016, Ohio Valley Resource Conservation & Development (OVRC&D) officially transferred their USDA Rural Development Revolving Loan Fund to the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission (OVRDC) before closing. Columbus Offering $12.8M to Support Big Lots' Move Across Town Big Lots Inc. is likely to receive up to $12.8 million in tax breaks from the city of Columbus for its planned headquarters move across town.
