New York to Add $1B to State Solar Program
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has filed a petition with the state's Public Service Commission requesting $1 billion to ensure long-term program certainty for the NY-Sun Initiative and expand New York's solar market.

NJ Comprehensive Statewide Historic Preservation Plan
This 2013-2019 Plan is the result of a statewide dialogue about historic preservation. The State Strategic Plan recognizes historic properties as assets that are critical state resources and calls for preservation and enhancement of those critical resources as part of the State's economic growth strategy.

NY Gov. Cuomo Approves Plan for $2B in Tax Cuts
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo endorsed his tax-cutting commission's plan to cut $2 billion in business and property taxes over the next few years. Cuomo approved $1 billion in business tax cuts and $1 billion in property tax cuts in New York. The plan will be included in the 2014-15 state budget.

State PAB Volume Caps Jump for 2014
The Bond Buyer reports that states will be allowed to issue 5.2% more of private activity bonds in 2014, freeing money for projects that would otherwise be ineligible for tax-exempt financing. Included are graphics demonstrating the volume cap changes from 2013 to 2014 by state.
