Manufacturing Company Expanding in Charleston County
Hubner Manufacturing Corporation is expanding their Charleston County facility thanks in part to a $350,000 grant from the Coordinating Council for Economic Development.
$800K Rural Infrastructure Fund Grant Approved for Marion County
The SC Department of Commerce announced the Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved an $800,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund Grant and job development credits related to the Precision Southeast, Inc, expansion project in Marion County.
SC Economic Development Handbook
The South Carolina Economic Developers' Association published the Economic Development Handbook. This handbook discusses the economic development process in South Carolina including, incentives, marketing, business retention and expansion, and much more.
Editorial: SC Needs a New Plan for Road Improvements
According to the projections in a recent report released by S.C. Transportation Commission, South Carolina will need to spend $60 billion over the next 25 years to meet its road needs. Also in the report is a revenue projection $1.5 billion short of covering its needs each year.
South Carolina Issues Bonds to Lure Boeing: Muni Deal
South Carolina will sell $85 million in debt this week to help Boeing expand a plant in North Charleston. Bloomberg reports that Boeing plans to invest $1 billion over the next eight years on the expansion.
