North Side Minneapolis Rental Project Receives TIF Package
A 75-unit affordable apartment project planned for investment-hungry north Minneapolis on Friday nailed down $722,300 in city aid, reports Finance and Commerce. The Minneapolis City Council approved the subsidy, a tax increment financing package that rounds out funding for the $17.6 million project.

St. Paul City Council Supports Special Tax District to Redevelop Old Ford Plant Site
The council passed a resolution creating a special taxing district built with incentives for future developers. The TIF plan calls for almost 4,000 condominiums, apartments and commercial space of about 780,000 square feet.

As a part of the USDA's commitment to strengthening rural economies, a state-by-state "Made in Rural America" report has been released for each state. Each state's factsheet highlights specific USDA investments in rural businesses, manufacturing, energy, water, and other infrastructure development.
