Longmont, CO Receives Enterprise Zone Designation
Colorado's Enterprise Zone Program provides tax incentives to encourage businesses to locate and expand in designated areas of the state, which are economically distressed. According to the Times-Call Business, a new enterprise zone area will take effect on January 1, 2016 within the City of Longmont.

Applications Accepted for Advanced Industries Accelerator Grant Programs
The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade is accepting applications for the Advanced Industries Accelerator grant programs to promote growth and sustainability. The program is intended to help drive innovation, encourage public-private partnerships, increase access to early stage capital, and create a strong ecosystem that increases the state's global competitiveness.
EPA Announces $2.4M in Colorado Brownfield Grants
The state of Colorado announced that the EPA has awarded seven Colorado communities with grants totaling $2.4 million to help cleanup, assess, and redevelop contaminated properties.
CO to Sponsor Affordable Housing for Artists
Colorado is investing in a $50 million plan to find affordable housing for artists in rural communities. According to the Coloradoan, housing and economic development are vital needs in rural Colorado, and this initiative advances both of these issues by harnessing the power of public-private partnerships to elevate rural economies.
