2015 Angel Investor Tax Credit Program Injects $51M in NJ Tech Companies The New Jersey Economic Development Authority approved 213 investments for 28 companies in 2015. The tax credit program offers a 10 percent refundable credit for qualified investments. Transportation, Energy Infrastructure Banks Proposed for NJ A bill introduced in the New Jersey State Senate is aimed at advancing key roadway and clean energy projects in the Garden State. Herkimer, NY Board OKs Loan for Sports Bar, Restaurant The Herkimer village board approved a $12,771 loan for The Endzone Pub and Grub on North Main Street. The loan will come from the city's revolving loan fund. City Report Supports Holiday Inn TIF in Rochester The city of Rochester administrative staff supports the use of tax increment financing to aid the development of a Holiday Inn. A TIF district on the hotel site could generate as much as $9.3 million. State's Manufacturing Sector Boosted by EDA Board Action The New Jersey Economic Development Authority approved four manufacturing projects that represent $68.5 million in private investment. The projects are expected to create at least 600 new jobs while retaining 700 jobs that were once at risk of leaving the state. Empire State Development Announces Four Biotech Companies to Expand Operations in New York City Empire State Development awarded $2.8 million to New York City's Partnership Fund to aid in the growth of an emerging biotechnology cluster.
