The first webinar will discuss available tools to assist communities in leveraging resources to address community revitalization goals and challenges. It will include a presentation on Dubuque, Iowa's successful efforts to leverage its own resources to attract other federal, state, public and private sources of funding and technical assistance.
Senate Gives Go-Ahead on Brownfield Boost
Bloomberg BNA reports the June 27 bill, S.1479, would allow the EPA to dole out individual grants totalling $950,000, while also expanding remediation authority for charitable organizations.
CT Announces $7.9M In Grants To Clean Up Brownfield Site
According to the Hartford Courant, the state is providing $7.9 million in grants to 14 cities and towns to clean up and redevelop brownfield sites.
Springfield, MO Recognized for Turning Brownfields Green
Springfield is being recognized for its work through the EPA's Brownfields program. The city has received $7 million in grants and assistance from the EPA over a 17 year period. That has gone to influence developments that are now worth more than 20 times that initial investment.
CDFA Releases Report for Englewood, IL
CDFA is excited to release the Roadmap to Redevelopment report prepared for Motivation Property Management in Englewood, IL. Project Response Team site visits are available through CDFA's Brownfields Technical Assistance Program, funded by the U.S. EPA.
