188 Unit Affordable Housing Were Completed with Bond and Tax Credits in New York
Governor Kathy Hochul announced the completion of 2850 Webster Avenue in the Bedford Park section of the Bronx, which offers 188 apartments for New Yorkers aged 62 and older. The energy-efficient, mixed-use development includes a 12,000-square-foot grocery store operated by Cherry Valley Marketplace and on-site social services provided by Fordham Bedford Community Services.

Department of Defense Approves $100M in Grants Under Pilot Program
The Department of Defense awarded seventeen Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Program grants from the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, totaling approximately $100 million. DCIP is a competitive program for states and communities to undertake infrastructure enhancements to support military value, the training of cadets at independent cover educational institutions, installation resiliency, and/or family quality of life that benefits their local installations.

Nuveen Green Capital Closes Largest C-PACE Deal in Texas
Nuveen Green Capital, a leader in sustainable commercial real estate financing solutions, and the Texas PACE Authority, the administrator of 92 PACE programs in Texas, along with CBRE, the global leader in commercial real estate services and investments, announced the closing of the Curio Collection by Hilton Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. This closing marks Texas' largest C-PACE transaction to date.

Office Space Redeveloped by PACE and Tax Credits in San Antonio, TX
The Allen, situated in the Monte Vista Historic District at the corner of Ashby and McCullough Ave., is breathing new life into the former Allen's Flowers & Antiques building. The project is taking full advantage of various government incentive programs to support sustainable development, including federal and state historical rehabilitation tax credits, property assessed clean energy financing, the federal solar investment tax credit program, and the City of San Antonio historic rehabilitation property tax and permit fee abatements.

Rochelle City, IL Considers $2.5M Bond Issuance for Improvements to Downtown Area
The Rochelle City Council discussed the option of issuing alternate revenue bonds not to exceed $2.5 million for the purpose of paying the cost of improvements to the city's downtown tax-increment financing district and resolved to move forward and look into the issue further. City staff has identified numerous infrastructure projects needed in the area such as site redevelopment, installation of parking lots, street reconstruction and other improvements.

U.S. Rail Projects Receive $1.4B from Biden Infrastructure Bill
The U.S. Federal Railroad Administration has announced 70 projects that will receive $1.4 billion in funding through the Biden administration's Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The funding is the largest amount ever awarded for rail safety and rail supply chain upgrades through the FRA's Consolidated Infrastructure and Safety Improvements program.

Florida Community Loan Fund Awarded $60M in New Markets Tax Credits
Florida Community Loan Fund has been awarded $60 million New Markets Tax Credit Allocation award from the U.S. Department of Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. FCLF has received a total of 11 awards aggregating to $451 million, and this NMTC award will continue to focus on high-impact community facility projects providing jobs and support services in highly distressed census tracts.
