$16M Investment Completes Water Supply to Hardin County
The District received a $6 million grant from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development and a $500,000 grant from the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority to cover part of its $16.0 million cost. The USDA Rural Development provided a $5.0 million loan and the District contributed $4.5 million.
KEDFA Approves $70M Bond Issuance for Kroger Distribution Center
The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority approved the issuance of up to $70 million in industrial revenue bonds to finance a massive Kentucky distribution center for Cincinnati-based grocery giant Kroger.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has selected four projects to receive a total of five grants in Kentucky for brownfield assessment or cleanup. Benefited communities include Bowling Green, Estill County, Berea, and Middlesboro.

The uncertain future of a state angel tax credit threatens to undermine entrepreneurial activity in the commonwealth, which already has declined in the last few years, business insiders say. A local venture capitalist said the credit was critical to attracting investments in startups.
KY Road Fund Restart
Drops in gas prices are a cause for rejoicing in most business quarters, unless you're in the business of building roads. Kentucky has been all but out of the highway construction business for a year, having hit the brakes to keep its Road Fund from falling completely to empty.
