Miami to Consider SEC Settlement
Miami officials will weigh a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission in light of a federal jury verdict finding the city guilty of securities fraud.
Flagler County OKs Special Assessment Districts to Drain Flooding
The Flagler County Commission approved two new taxing open-ended districts in the Hammock to pay for drainage issues. The assessments will amount to up to a $75 annual fee for each property in the Malacompra basin, and up to $600 for each property in Marineland Acres.
Community Development District Established for Long Bar Pointe Project
A community development district has been established for the proposed Aqua by the Bay development. The community development district will serve as a governmental and public purpose by financing, providing, and managing certain basic infrastructure systems, facilities and services.
Village Community Development District to Issue Bonds
The Village Community Development District No. 12 plans to issue approximately $58,280,000 Special Assessment Revenue Bonds. The District encompasses approximately 699.02 gross acres and is located in the City of Wildwood, Florida
In a First Federal Jury Trial, Miami, Boudreaux Found Guilty
In a first-of-a-kind verdict, a Miami jury found on Wednesday that Miami and its former budget director, Michael Boudreaux, were guilty of securities fraud for faulty disclosures in connection with three 2009 municipal bond offerings.
SELF Surpasses $5M in Total Lending

Film Production Company to Repay Sarasota County FL $350K
The now defunct Sanborn Studios film production company has agreed to pay back $350,064 to Sarasota County for failing to meet its obligations to a 2010 economic development package with the county.
