NARENCO Plans Two Solar Farms In Orangeburg County, SC
NARENCO (National Renewable Energy Corporation) will be constructing two new solar farms in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. Both projects are expected to bring $89.1 million in new capital investment to the area.

LA Legislature to Examine Generous Historic Tax Credit
Baton Rouge's illuminated downtown skyline has been shaped by a relatively small and obscure state tax incentive that has kept intact an air of history in the Capital City. The incentive expires in 2018, but the Legislature is expected to consider renewing it.

Lawmaker Seeks Bigger Tax Break for Rural Hospital Donors
A Georgia lawmaker who sponsored a new tax break for individuals and corporations who give donations to rural hospitals now wants to make those incentives larger.

Lucid Motor's Receives Incentives to Build New AZ Factory
Lucid Motor's intends to invest $700 million in an electric car factory that is projected to create 2,000 jobs in a distressed area. The project is being assisted by the county through the purchase of the site and the provision of $6.5 million in grants and $40 million in tax credits.

Wolf Administration Announces $15M for Start-Ups
Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin announced the approval of $15 million in tax credits to support 263 early-stage companies through the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Program.

Proposed CA Bills Would Increase State LIHTC's to $300M Annually
These bills will fund the production of housing for low-income families by incentivizing local governments to complete upfront planning, environmental review, approval of housing permits to increase housing supply, and more.

Amazon Nets $13M in Tax Credits From IL
The agreement will grant Amazon tax benefits totaling $12.9 million over 10 years in response to the company's commitment to create at least 1,000 new jobs during that period.

Controversy Churns Over Curbing Tax Breaks for Wind Turbines
The state offers producers incentives for the first 10 years of a wind farm's operation. Oklahoma did not cap incentives for the industry which has sparked new plans to curb tax incentives for wind farms. Green energy supporters say sudden limits could imperil the industry.
