Issue Brief:
CDFA is supporting and advancing legislation that will expand the categories of exempt facility bonds to allow for the financing of (i) renewable energy resource facilities, (ii) conservation and efficiency facilities and projects and (iii) zero emission vehicles and related facilities or projects. U.S. Representative Mike Thompson (D-CA), who serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, introduced H.R. 3525 in 2009. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) introduced companion legislation as S. 3336 in May, 2010.
