CDFA is a national association dedicated to the advancement of development finance concerns and interests. CDFA is comprised of the nation’s leading and most knowledgeable members of the development finance community representing hundreds of public, private and non-profit development entities. Members are state, county and municipal development finance agencies and authorities and non-governmental and private organizations ranging from investment banks to commercial finance companies to bond counsel, bond insurers, trustees, venture capital companies, rating agencies, and other organizations interested in development finance. CDFA provides a number of avenues for assisting the development finance industry including education, advocacy, research, resources and networking. CDFA supports thousands of development finance stakeholders throughout the country. Membership is vital to CDFA’s ability to serve the industry.

CDFA is the voice of development finance on Capitol Hill and throughout Washington, DC. Our dedicated Legislative & Federal Affairs team advocates on behalf of the industry, addressing its most pressing concerns. The Council routinely provides congressional offices advice, research, testimony, and legislative language that help advance the industry.

Discounted Registration Rates for CDFA Training Courses, State Conferences & National Development Finance Summit

CDFA Members receive reduced rates to all CDFA events, including CDFA Training Institute courses, state conferences, the National Development Finance Summit, and other workshops and seminars. This benefit proves the most significant financial compensation for membership and can ultimately cover the cost of annual dues.

Exclusive Access to the CDFA Online Resource Database

The CDFA Online Resource Database is a searchable directory of thousands of articles, publications, case studies, documents, web pages, guides, search engines and other development finance related resources. It is the only online database dedicated exclusively to development finance. The database is updated daily with items from a wide variety of industry topics. Nearly 90% of the material in the Online Resource Database is restricted to members only and access to the database is an exclusive member benefit.

The Federal Financing Clearinghouse is an up-to-date index of federal programs. The Clearinghouse is routinely updated to ensure real-time accuracy. When Agencies change their programs, we will change our listings. Access to the Clearinghouse is an exclusive member benefit.

The CDFA State Financing Program Directory is the first and only-of-its-kind designed to showcase the development finance programs offered by state governments. The CDFA State Financing Program Directory includes overviews of hundreds of state financing programs available to both public and private sector users. Reduced Rates for Publications in the CDFA Bookstore

CDFA offers members reduced rates through the online bookstore. The CDFA Bookstore is designed to provide in-depth development finance publications focused on specific development finance tools.

Exclusive Discount to Purchase PORTFOL

Through this collaboration, CDFA members receive exclusive discounts to purchase PORTFOL, a fully-integrated, multi-user portfolio management system that tracks activities from the initial call and deal structuring, through the lending approval process, and on to the servicing of the loan.

Exclusive Discount to Purchase a Subscription to The Bond Buyer

CDFA Members are eligible to purchase a per-user subscription to The Bond Buyer at a 55% discount off of the Issuer Rate. This benefit is available to members in the State or Local Issuer category who are purchasing a new subscription. CDFA Members who purchase a per-user subscription for $350/annually will receive access to The Bond Buyer in both print and electronic media. Should an agency/entity wish to purchase more than five new users at the same time, a deeper discount will be applied. *This benefit is available to issuers only. Private sector members are not eligible to receive this special rate. Issuers with existing subscriptions are not eligible to receive this benefit.

Complimentary Job Postings in CDFA's Weekly Newsletter

CDFA members have the opportunity to post job openings, free of charge, in CDFA’s Development Finance Review Weekly newsletter. The newsletter is sent to thousands of professionals throughout the country and is a great way to promote your job opening and organization. Members may post each job opening two times in the newsletter. Non-members pay $500 to post jobs, representing a major savings for CDFA members.

Complimentary RFP Postings in CDFA's Weekly Newsletter

Looking for specific expertise or a diverse response to your request for proposals (RFP)? CDFA members receive complimentary RFP postings in CDFA’s Development Finance Review Weekly newsletter. The newsletter is sent to thousands of professionals from both the public and private sector and is sure to reach a broad audience to meet your needs. Members may post each RFP two times in the newsletter. Non-members pay $500 for RFP postings, representing a significant savings for CDFA members.
