LSU Deal Fuels $575M Baton Rouge Campus P3
LPFA is expected to bring $226.14 million of bonds to market next week as the conduit issuer of the debt that will benefit LSU. The bonds will help finance a $575 million project.

LA Amends P3 Legislation Granting Authority to DOTD
The State of Louisiana has passed a public-private partnership (P3) law to help alleviate a $12.7 billion backlog in highway and bridge maintenance and construction needs across the state. The law authorizes the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) to utilize P3s to finance projects for qualifying transportation facilities.

LA Solar Tax Credit Program Exceeds Cap
Louisiana's solar tax credit has a cap at $25 million. That included a $10 million cap in 2015 and 2016, and a $5 million cap in 2017. As of July 27, the state had either approved or reviewed nearly 3,500 solar tax credit claims, exceeding the cap by about $14 million.

New Orleans City Council Vows Scrutiny in Entergy Restructure
New Orleans City Council leaders were cautiously optimistic in their reception of a plan to restructure Entergy New Orleans that includes up to $25 million in credits to customers over five years. The council will spend coming months reviewing whether the plan benefits customers.
