CDFA Virtual Summer School is a 2-week long series of courses presented by the CDFA Training Institute. CDFA Virtual Summer School will offer seven different training courses, all held online. Learn from our expert practitioners and experience CDFA's most interactive educational event of the year - all from the comfort of your own home or office!

All courses at CDFA Virtual Summer School qualify for the CDFA Training Institute's Development Finance Certified Professional (DFCP) Program. Participants may register for one, two, three, or four courses during this two-week-long event. Complete three courses, and you will have fulfilled half of the requirements for the DFCP Program. Intro Bond Finance Course - Day One
The Intro Bond Finance Course provides an in-depth look at the various types of bonds and when to use them. The course also teaches best practices for successful issuances, and examines the bond transaction from start to finish. This course is essential for public leaders, economic development professionals, financial experts and anyone working to address local economic challenges.
Intro Public Private Partnership (P3) Finance Course - Day One
The Intro Public-Private Partnership (P3) Finance Course examines this emerging development finance model with a focus on how development finance agencies can adopt P3 principles to address a variety of projects. This course covers basic P3 concepts, key players involved in transactions, asset valuation, contract negotiation, risk assessment, revenue stream development, and feasibility analysis. In addition, several P3 projects from across the country will be presented, and P3 experts will analyze the successful elements in each deal.

Intro Brownfields Finance Course - Day One
The Intro Brownfields Finance Course is the industry’s only comprehensive training curriculum that helps economic developers, policy makers and real estate professionals understand and master the financing strategies for the lifecycle of a brownfield property. During this course, attendees will walk through the entire brownfields redevelopment process from understanding the basics of brownfields and legal and regulatory challenges to unearthing the myriad financing tools available to both clean-up and build-up these contaminated or polluted sites.

The Intro Revolving Loan Fund Course offers an in-depth look at RLF program development, implementation and management. During this course, attendees learn the essential elements needed to operate a successful RLF program and discuss programs making a difference in communities throughout the country.
