With the SSBCI program coming to an end next year, CDFA has made the strategic decision to actively support the continuation of the SSBCI network as we work towards extended authorization and a new round of funding. As part of this initiative, CDFA will be holding private meetings on November 3rd and 4th at the National Development Finance Summit in New Orleans to discuss the future of SSBCI. The Slater Technology Fund has committed $500,000 in seed funding to support the launch of MindImmune Therapeutics, Inc. $400,000 in SSBCI funds were used to seed the venture.

The US Department of Treasury has released its first 2016 quarterly report on state deployments of SSBCI funds.

CA SB 936 Expands Availability of IBank Loans
The California Assembly has given unanimous approval of SB 936, a bill expands the availability of loans through the Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank's (IBank) California Small Business Loan Guarantee Program. The SBLGP is backed by the US Treasury's SSBCI Fund.
