PACE Used to Finance New Grocery Store in MO
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) was recently used to finance a new grocery store in St. Louis, Missouri. This represents the first project to use PACE financing for new construction in Missouri and also the first project to use PACE for new construction retail in the country.

$89M from the USDA Now Available to Specialty Crop Growers
Nearly $89 million is available from USDA through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program to support specialty crop growers, strengthen local and regional food systems, and explore new market opportunities for farmers and ranchers. 

In CT, South Windsor, Agriculture Department Teaming Up To Preserve Farmland
A plan is in place for the town council of South Windsor and the Connecticut Department of Agriculture to team up and purchase the development rights of prime Connecticut farmland for $724,000. Funding for the land would come from the $1.9M open space fund which was passed at referendum several years ago.

New Dairy Plant Boosts MI's Industry Ecosystem
Foremost Farms' new milk processing plant will increase capacity and accessibility for Michigan dairy farmers, while providing a major boost to Michigan's dairy industry. The much-needed facility will become a major processing plant for what is currently a surplus milk supply in Michigan.

Trump Budget Would Slash Farmland Conservation Incentives
President Donald Trump's 2019 budget request would slash funding for farm bill conservation programs by about $13 billion over 10 years, on top of cuts already sustained in the 2014 Farm Bill.
