Chesterfield County EDA Considering New Industrial "Megasite"
Chesterfield's Economic Development Authority wants to rezone and buy about 1,700 acres of land in southeastern Chesterfield's Bermuda District as a site for large, industrial users. The land is now zoned for residential use and, prior to the economic recession, was slated to become a development with nearly 5,000 homes.

$500K in Grants Supports $9M Heritage Brewing Expansion
Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe's office announced that Heritage Brewing plans to spend $8.9 million and create 66 new jobs to expand its craft brewery in Manassas. The state is providing a $250,000 grant, which the city of Manassas will match. The Virginia Jobs Investment Program will provide additional support.
Danville Mulls $3.6M Loan for Business Development
Danville, VA, City Council will consider a $3.6 million loan to pay toward construction of a $4.5 million building for the Kyocera SGS Tech Hub in the Cyber Park. The $3.6 million loan would come with a 4.5-percent interest rate contingent upon a city council vote.

Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that LifeNet Health, a leading global regenerative medicine company, will invest $12.25 million to expand its global headquarters operation in the City of Virginia Beach.
