Soil Wealth Report: 67 Investment Approaches to Regenerative Ag Capital Opportunities
The new report, Soil Wealth: Investing in Regenerative Agriculture across Asset Classes, is the most comprehensive look to date at the US landscape of investment opportunities in regenerative agriculture -- one of the leading trends in food and agriculture today. Regenerative agriculture refers to a diverse array of farming systems that enhance the biodiversity of farming landscapes, improve soil health and the water cycle, and strengthen the resilience of rural agricultural economies.

More Than $400M Available for USDA REAP Loan Guarantees
The USDA is encouraging rural small businesses and agricultural producers to apply for financing in a key USDA program that provides loan guarantees to help rural small businesses lower their energy costs. USDA accepts applications for REAP funding year-round. Potential applicants should contact their state USDA Rural Development office for additional information.

Private Equity Is Snapping Up Cold Storage Warehouses
Cold storage is the kind of niche business that Wall Street long ignored—it amounts to just 3% of public warehouses—but now it has become its latest darling. Roughly two dozen private equity firms have latched onto this corner of industrial real estate. They're aiming to capitalize on the growing preference for grocery deliveries to homes, which requires warehouse space, and looking for a hedge in the next recession.

How Guaranteed Offtake Can Drive Sustainable Agriculture

Because multi-year agreements help to assure for major capital investment, they present an opportunity for advancing more sustainable agricultural practices and conservation benefits.

Ag Lending: Credit to Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers Is Limited
Can women and minorities get the loans they need to buy and operate farms? According to USDA survey data, these "socially disadvantaged" farmers and ranchers get a disproportionately small share of farm loans. More detailed information isn't available on farm lending to these groups because lenders generally aren't allowed to record an applicant's race or sex.
