Bill Would Provide $1B of PABs for Coal Community Zones
Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) introduced the Coal Community Empowerment Act (S. 1743) authorizing up to $1 billion in PAB financing in 90 Coal Community Zones around the country. Localities in those zones would use bond proceeds to provide low-interest loans to businesses.
Texarkana, AR Backing Potential Cooper Project with Bonds
The city of Texarkana has authorized the issuance of industrial development bonds valued at up to $250 million to be used to support investment by Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. in its car and light truck tire plant in the Arkansas city.
