$14 Million Multi-Use Project Still Faces Hurdles in Lewiston, NY
A  mixed-use project slated to be built in the heart of the village of Lewiston still has a few hoops to jump through before it's approved. The project applied for a Brownfield Designation from the Department of Environmental Conservation. If granted, the project would be eligible for tax breaks.

Developers of the $380 million Red Cedar Renaissance project said that they will agree to a bundle of pointed legal, environmental, and tax provisions in exchange for Ingham County taxpayer help to finance some of the massive infrastructure needed to avoid flooding at the site.

Portsmouth Plans for New Water Plant
The Portsmouth, Ohio water filtration plant is getting to the end of its useful life, and now the city is taking action to build a new facility on adjacent property, The property being considered was contaminated when a coke plant was located on that site.
