CDFA National Summit Call for Submissions
CDFA is accepting session submissions for the 2017 National Development Finance Summit in Atlanta this November. Session submissions on deals, projects or programs that include multiple funding sources are highly encouraged. Submissions are due by May 12, 2017.

Rental Project Near Vikings Stadium Still $8M Short
The proposal, known as East Town Apartments, has a funding shortfall of $8 million. It received only half of the $20 million in affordable housing bonding it requested from the state pool, which is administered by Minnesota's Management and Budget office and issued through Hennepin County.

MN Shoould Increase Funding for the Good Food Access Program
The Legislature in Minnesota is being asked to fully fund the Good Food Access Program. MN Foundations Invest $17M in Housing and Small Business Bond
The McKnight and Bush foundations and the Otto Bremer Trust, along with other Minnesota foundations, are collaborating to back the Access Capital Community Investment Fund. The collaboration could top $20 million as at least eight other foundations complete their reviews.

Beginning this month through the end of the year, 14 businesses in southern Minnesota will get advanced training courses and personal coaches from Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation. Participants were chosen from a group of applicants who were part of SMIF's other programs for business owners.
