U.S. DOE Creating C-PACE Working Group
The Commercial PACE Working Group is an exciting new cohort of state and local governments working together to learn about, launch, and refine C-PACE financing programs. Submissions of an expression of interest form for the working group are due by April 20, 2018.
Alamo, TX Gets $11.5M to Build Wastewater Treatment Plant
The city of Alamo, Texas, recently received $11.5 million in funding assistance from the Texas Water Development Board to help construct a wastewater treatment plant.
Mount Airy, NC Receives $2.7M From CDBG and SRF
Mount Airy has been awarded $1,731,600 in Community Development Block Grant infrastructure funding for sewer improvements in the Maple/Merritt Street area. The city has also been tapped for another $963,100 in funding from the Drinking Water State Reserve (DWSR) program.
Renovate America Sells $90M Benji Loan Portfolio
Renovate America, a leading U.S. provider of home-improvement financing, announced that it has sold a portfolio of $90 million of performing Benji loans to a North American regional bank.
EPA Announces $5.5B WIFIA NOFA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the availability of funding that could provide as much as $5.5 billion in loans, which could leverage over $11 billion in water infrastructure projects through the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program.
Largest MI PACE Deal Used to Retrofit the St. Clair Inn
The St. Clair Inn recently used PACE to implement a broad array of updates including LED lights, efficient appliances and water saving measures, using over $5.5 million in PACE financing. This is the largest PACE deal that Michigan has had to date.
Matchmaker Program Identifies Climate-Related Development Projects Worldwide
CDP's Matchmaker is a service that provides subscribers exposure to a project pipeline of sustainable infrastructure opportunities in cities globally. In 2017, 370 cities disclosed over 1,000 sustainable infrastructure projects in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and outdoor lighting.
Campbell County, KY Decision Paves Way for PACE
The Campbell County Fiscal Court approved legislation creating a county-wide Energy Project Assessment District (EPAD) that will allow property owners to obtain special financing for energy-efficiency upgrades.
