WIFA Announces Loan Closing for Lake Verde Water Company
The Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) announced today that it has closed a $150,000 loan with Lake Verde Water Company, Inc. for the installation of a centralized arsenic treatment system and a 30,000 gallon storage tank.
Incentives, Grant Brings Caterpillar Regional Headquarters to Tucson
Caterpillar's Surface, Mining & Technology Division will move to downtown Tucson, creating an estimated economic impact of $600 million. Caterpillar will receive $52 million in incentives, including $4 million from the Arizona Competes Fund.
WPA Building in Phoenix Receives $400K for Renovation
The WPA Administration building, which had already received $200,000 in grant funding, received $120,000 from the Governor's office and $132,000 from fundraising efforts to help with its renovation.
Cottonwood, AZ to Refinance Bonds, Extend Water Line
The Cottonwood City Council has authorized the refinancing of Cottonwood's 2006 water bonds. Cottonwood will also receive a loan from the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority to extend the city water line and create a new well site.
Arizona House Allows Developers to Create Special Taxing Districts
The Arizona House has approved a bill giving developers the power to create special taxing districts, and thus issue municipal bonds and levy taxes to pay for public infrastructure in communities they are building.
Mohave County, AZ Offers $500K in Incentives for Food Redistribution Facility
Mohave County approved an economic incentive package that will allocate $500,000 to DOT Foods if it opens a large-scale food redistribution facility. The state will match Mohave County's package with its own $500,000 package.
