Los Lunas, AZ to Consider Public Improvement District
The PID districts, or subdivisions, are separate political organizations with the power to levy a tax in its development in order to pay for the construction and/or acquisition of public infrastructure through tax exempt municipal bonds. Typically, infrastructure paid for this way is dedicated to the municipality as part of the development.
$300K Committed to AZ Office of Film and Digital Media
The office helps with permitting for productions on city, state, federal and tribal lands in Arizona. "Our goal is to basically, with up front discounts, match a 30 percent tax credit that (filmmakers) get from other states," Director Matthew Earl Jones said.
Brewer's Looking to Build $90M Facility in Gilbert, AZ
According to emails among Gilbert staffers, Sellers and financial consultants from April to June, the Brewers are willing to put $20 million toward the construction of the new facility. The town would be on the hook for the other $70 million, which could be funded through bonds, development fees or a special taxing district.
Harvest Returns Launches Agriculture Investment Platform in TX
The company currently has agreements in place to list agriculture investments in Texas, Arizona, Florida, Brazil and Belize. Increasing consumer interest to know where food originates and how it is produced is an important consideration for many investors.
Truxton and Golden Shores, AZ Receive Water System Loans
"Like so many small water systems in Arizona, these two systems needed financial assistance to make these system upgrades and infrastructure repairs," said WIFA Executive Director Trish Incognito. WIFA is a governmental organization dedicated to protecting public health and promoting environmental quality through financial assistance for water and wastewater infrastructure.
