California Elite High School to Sell $132M of Bonds for Campus Upgrade
The elite Catholic high school that educated former California Governor Jerry Brown plans to tap the municipal bond market to raise $132 million to spruce up its 11-acre San Francisco campus. The bond deal will be issued by the California Municipal Finance Authority and underwritten by Oppenheimer and Piper Sandler. The securities will be backed by revenue from the school, including tuition payments. The bond sale is rated A by S&P Global Ratings.

Chattanooga, TN Receives $50M Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant
Chattanooga Housing Authority's One Westside, formerly known as Westside Evolves, confirmed today they are one of six programs across the nation selected for the highly competitive Choice Neighborhoods Implementation (CNI) Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The $50 million grant will support Westside's Transformation Plan which will redevelop Chattanooga's oldest public housing community.
MassDevelopment Issues $17M Bond on Behalf of 733 Broadway LLC in Lowell, MA
MassDevelopment has issued a $17 million tax-exempt bond on behalf of 733 Broadway LLC, an affiliate of Tremont Development Partners LLC. The company will use bond proceeds to build a four-story, 52-unit affordable rental housing facility with 52 surface-level parking spaces at 733 Broadway in the city's Acre neighborhood. The .6-acre site formerly housed the Merrimack Valley Food Bank warehouse, which has relocated its operations to a new facility, and a 30-space open surface parking lot; the existing warehouse is being largely demolished, with select areas of the historic facade retained and restored.
USDA Rural Development Awards $2.7M to Waldo County, ME Meat Processor
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Maine State Director Rhiannon Hampson announced a grant of $2.7 million for Five Pillars Butchery (FPB) in Unity, Maine. The grant comes through the Department's Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program (MPPEP) to expand processing capacity and strengthen the food supply chain. The Unity business will use the grant to help construct a new meat and poultry processing facility in the Waldo County community.
$127M Allocated to Clean Up Orphaned Wells in Five States
The U.S. Department of the Interior announced the allocation of $126.7 million to tackle legacy pollution in Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, New York, and Ohio. The funding will be used to plug orphaned oil and gas wells, address environmental hazards, create jobs, and advance environmental justice as part of a larger effort funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The initiative supports the U.S. Methane Emissions Reduction Action Plan and contributes to broader environmental justice goals. The funding will enable the five states to plug nearly 600 orphaned wells and inventory additional undocumented wells for future plugging.
Pennsylvania Announces Tax Credits for Construction of Affordable Rental Housing
The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) is announcing funding for the construction or rehabilitation of 1,916 rental units, of which 1,801 will be affordable to households at or below 60% of the area median income. The funding is coming from a variety of sources, including more than $57.5 million in federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC); more than $16.8 million in PennHOMES funding; more than $17.5 million in National Housing Trust Funds and/or Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement funds; and more than $22.6 million in state housing tax credits.

Colorado Venture Capital Authority - Competitive Application for Venture Capital Fund Managers
The Colorado Venture Capital Authority (VCA) is seeking to commit approximately $15 million to one or several venture capital funds. Its mission is to deploy the State Small Business Credit Initiative Equity/Venture Capital. The VCA partners with professional venture capital fund managers to invest in seed and early-stage rounds in businesses headquartered and with principal business operations in Colorado. In alignment with the U.S. Department of Treasury and the SSBCI Capital Program, the VCA aims to provide access to capital for small businesses in low-and-moderate income, minority, and other underserved communities, including women and veteran-owned small businesses.
