National New Markets Fund Invests $17.5M in Minnesota-Based Creamery
National New Markets Fund, LLC, an affiliate of Los Angeles-based SDS Capital Group, has invested $17.5 million of its New Markets Tax Credit allocation into Chanhassen, Minnesota-based Bongards Creameries. Bongards is a farmer-owned co-op that relies on its 267-member farms (98% family farms) to provide milk for its cheese and whey products. As a result of the investment, Bongards' milk intake capacity will increase by almost one-third, from 4.1 million pounds per day to 5.4 million pounds per day.

Indiana Launches the 'Legend Fund' with $29M in SSBCI Funds
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) announced the launch of the state's Legend Fund, a loan participation program designed to help entrepreneurs and small businesses gain access to funds needed to grow. Fueled by $29 million in funding through the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), the fund will assist mission-driven local lenders to increase lending to Hoosier small businesses, with an added focus on those that have been historically underserved.
$500M California Fund for Public Broadband Infrastructure
A $500 million California fund dedicated to providing more favorable borrowing rates and terms for local governments, tribes, and nonprofits to finance public broadband infrastructure projects was created in 2021 through Senate Bill 156. The program encourages broadband deployment by local government agencies and nonprofit organizations by covering certain costs that may be barriers to entry, including debt issuance and credit enhancement.
PACE Loan Group Provides $4M for Michigan Condos
The Boardwalk, a two-phase short-term rental condominium under construction in Traverse City, Michigan, received nearly $4 million in Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing through PACE Loan Group. The first phase received $1.7 million in early 2023 and has an expected completion date in March 2024; the second phase received $1.8 million and begins construction this month with an expected completion date of the second quarter of 2024.

This position assists the Single Family Sub-Servicing team, Multifamily Servicing team, and Servicing Supervisor with examining, analyzing, and interpreting financial data in CDA's multi-billion mortgage loan portfolios financed with revenue bond proceeds. This position performs reconciliations of single-family bond series and interprets, analyzes, and translates multifamily loan closing documents to set up new multifamily loan accounts. The incumbent will also assist the Multifamily Accountants in mortgage servicing by performing manual billings, reviewing and monitoring disbursements for real estate taxes, insurance premiums, and escrow reserves within the multifamily bond portfolio.

This position reports to the Chief Programs Officer (CPO) and works in partnership with the CPO to establish and manage multi-family programming that meets FNO's strategic vision. The Multi-Family Programs team is responsible for the financing and ongoing management of the Agency's multi-family lending portfolio and subsidy programs which provide loans, credit enhancement, and tax abatements that facilitate the development, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable housing projects.
