Maryland Department of Housing Issues $3.8M in Bonds to Berlin
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) announced it has issued $3.8 million in bonds through the Local Government Infrastructure Financing Program to support infrastructure improvement efforts in Berlin. DHCD's Community Development Administration administers the bonds on behalf of counties, municipalities, and/or their instrumentalities to finance projects that serve the community at large, such as streetscape improvements, transportation enhancements, or water and sewer treatment facilities.

Treasury Announces New Funding to Support Technical Assistance for Small Businesses
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the approval of plans for an additional $10 million in technical assistance (TA) funding allocated to four states, two territories, the District of Columbia, and one tribal government under the American Rescue Plan Act's State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) TA Grant Program. The SSBCI TA Grant Program supports programs that provide legal, accounting, and financial advisory services to qualifying small businesses.

New HUD Resources to Support Owners Applying for DOE's Low-Income Adder for Solar Projects
The Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program, administered by the Department of Energy (DOE), promotes cost-saving solar or wind investments in low-income communities, on Indian land, as part of affordable housing developments, and benefitting low-income households. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Multifamily Housing Programs has launched a new series of recordings to help owners of HUD-assisted multifamily housing properties as well as other stakeholders apply for this credit under Category 3 (Qualified Low-Income Residential Project).
Bernalillo County and Albuquerque, NM Approve Green Finance Program
Bernalillo County and Albuquerque are the first local governments in New Mexico to pass legislation opting into the New Mexico C-PACE program, according to the state's Economic Development Department. New Mexico adopted the C-PACE (Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy) program in 2023 to help eligible property owners receive long-term financing for many energy-efficient and climate-resilient improvements.
Three North Country Schools in New York Get Millions in Capital Project Bonds
Moriah Central School is set to get $13 million from the state for a safety project. In addition, Saranac Central School will get $3.7 million for improvements and Salmon River Central School will receive $2.8 million for new athletic facilities. The money comes from low-cost, tax-exempt bonds issued this month through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York's Revenue Bond Financing Program on behalf of 69 school districts across New York state.

STEP - Chief Executive Officer
STEP seeks a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build upon the visionary legacy of its founder and early successes of the team instituting the right processes and systems to manage growth as opportunities to disrupt the cycle of generational poverty in Stanislaus County emerge or are advanced. The CEO will help realize STEP's Vision 2028 - scaling the organization; developing people and teams; and launching new programs. Additionally, they will identify and drive new, innovative approaches to community development that create opportunities for STEP to fulfill its mission while attracting new partners and resources. NC Rural Center - CDFI Consultant RFP
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek qualified consultants to conduct a comprehensive strategic assessment of our existing Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Thread Capital, and to inform decisions regarding the re-deployment of available small business capital. The selected consultant will evaluate Thread Capital's current lending operations and strategy, Thread Capital's place within micro-lending within North Carolina's capital access ecosystem, and recommend strategies to enhance our effectiveness and impact across North Carolina, with a particular focus on rural communities and marginalized populations.
NJEDA - Project Officer - Clean Energy Partnerships
The Project Officer – Clean Energy Partnerships works directly with Clean Energy Partnerships and Clean Energy Products colleagues on projects that accelerate New Jersey's clean energy growth.
NJEDA - Senior Credit Underwriter
NJEDA is seeking a senior credit underwriter who is responsible for analyzing commercial loan applications of greater complexity and higher dollar value and structuring credit arrangements, to generate interest income while limiting credit losses, to support the operations and fulfill the NJEDA mission. This person is also primarily responsible for loans under programs such as Direct Loans, Premier Lender Program, and the Department of Environmental Protection and completing financial reviews in support of EDA tax incentive programs.
NJEDA - Senior Economist
The Senior Economist will work alongside the Chief Economist and Economist to support a variety of initiatives and priority projects for the Economic and Data Analytics team. This position will be responsible for analyzing market trends, advising the NJEDA on economic decisions, and developing models for forecasting, among other duties. The Senior Economist will also work to distill complex economic data to non-technical audiences--requiring excellent communicative ability.
NJEDA - Sr. Incentives Servicing Officer
Management and servicing of an assigned portfolio of incentive recipients to ensure compliance throughout the entire lifecycle of the tax credit/grant which supports the issuance of the tax credit/grant payments. This position is also responsible for working directly with incentives recipients, personnel in various internal departments, and external agencies to facilitate the issuance and/or transfer of tax credits. Utilizes specialized knowledge of the incentive projects and programs to address and resolve complex recipient issues and requests.
