USDA Announces Another $667M for Rural Broadband Loans and Grants
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will spend another $667 million on rural broadband loans and grants, marking the fourth round of funding under a program that the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) invigorated. Nearly three-quarters of the funding, $493 million, will go toward grants. The latest round of funding awards will go to 38 projects in 22 states and the Marshall Islands.

$266M to Agricultural Producers, Rural Small Businesses for Energy-Related Improvements
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that it is awarding $266 million in loans and grants to agriculture producers and rural small businesses to make investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency improvements that will lower their energy costs, generate new income, and strengthen the resilience of their operation. This funding is made possible in part by the Inflation Reduction Act.

USDA to Invest $808M in Rural Infrastructure Projects
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $808 million to help rural cooperatives and utilities build and improve electric infrastructure and increase electric grid reliability and security, connecting hundreds of thousands of people in rural areas. This funding will also help provide clean drinking water and sanitary wastewater systems in rural areas for years to come.

$11M for Economic Development in New Hampshire's Rural Communities
U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan announced with U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster and Congressman Chris Pappas that the Northern Border Regional Commission is providing $11 million through 25 New Hampshire Catalyst Awards to support economic and community development projects throughout the state. These awards will go to projects such as affordable housing, clean energy infrastructure, hospital upgrades, and more.

USDA Provides $100M for Rural Broadband in Alaska
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is awarding $100 million to improve high-speed internet access in communities across Alaska. These awards are possible thanks to the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA)—and specifically through the latest round of the USDA's ReConnect Program, which aims to ensure high-speed internet to every community in the United States.

USDA Invests $7M to Strengthen Siouxland Infrastructure
Several Siouxland businesses and communities have obtained funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to strengthen rural infrastructure, including a $300,000 grant to expand the Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA, a $5 million loan to build a headquarters facility for Clay-Union Electric Corporation in Vermillion, South Dakota, and a $2.5 million loan to build three miles of water main throughout Neligh, Nebraska.

USDA Invests $17M for Healthcare Access in Rural Iowa
US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development State Director in Iowa Theresa Greenfield announced that the Agency is investing $16 million in loans and $1.1 million in grants to four projects in four Iowa counties to promote rural economic development, job creation, and health services.

USDA Invests $150M for Emerging Climate Market Connections
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Forest Service is making $150 million from the Inflation Reduction Act, the largest climate investment in history, available to help underserved and small acreage forest landowners connect to emerging voluntary climate markets. These markets can provide economic opportunities for landowners and incentivize improved forest health and management.
