Wolf Administration Announces $15M for Start-Ups
Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin announced the approval of $15 million in tax credits to support 263 early-stage companies through the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) Program.
PIDA Awards Will Create and Retain 95 PA Jobs
Over the last month, PIDA approved $5.3 million in low-interest loans to support four projects in Allegheny, Blair, Erie, and Lancaster counties that will generate more than $8.2 million in private investments.
PA Treasury Announces $100M Impact Investing Initiative
The initiative will provide the "double-bottom-line" benefit of providing a competitive rate of return, while supporting state investments in affordable housing, small business, health and educational facilities, and infrastructure projects, according to Reese.
PA's Neighborhood Assistance Program Receives $17.8M
"The Neighborhood Assistance Program provides tax credits to encourage businesses to invest in projects that improve distressed areas, promoting a shared belief that thriving neighborhoods are a cornerstone of Pennsylvania's success," said Governor Wolf.
Community First Fund Starts $5M Loan Program
Jobs for Lancaster will be a revolving loan fund, with the average borrower — most likely a small business owner who can't get competitively priced financing elsewhere — receiving $52,000. As borrowers repay their loans, those repaid dollars will be recycled into new loans.
Philadelphia Launches $1B Green Jobs Plan
Philadelphia is moving forward with an ambitious plan to create 10,000 "green jobs" over 10 years. It involves investing $1 billion in public and private money into energy efficiency projects in all city-owned buildings, schools, as well as 25,000 homes and 2,500 small businesses.
